The corner rooms at Paris offer a bit more room and are usually obtainable just by asking for one, though there's a little longer of a walk to get there. Neither caters to a 20ss demographic in my opinion, and you're going to feel young at both of them. Paris probably skews a bit younger. Paris is closer to Planet Hollywood which may be more your thing. Bally's has the nicer sportsbook at least last I remember.
For your priorities switch hotels. Both offer lousy blackjack at low minimums they are CZR properties the atmosphere is not bachelor-party, more like low-rolling middle-aged slot players.
They serve a market, not yours. You will be leaving to do everything you want. Paris is a significant upgrade if you are getting Red Rooms.
Otherwise, not much. Ballys has the better sports book but has little in terms of nightlife. Paris does have a club. Your trip is not exactly in pool season. Some will be open but I wouldn't expect parties to be in swing. Ballys will probably be okay but more shopping may be useful in your case. We've stayed at both. I prefer Paris even on the basic rooms but Bally's rooms are much bigger. Save your money and stay at Ballys.
You're only 5mins. Ballys rooms are large and clean and if you get the South Tower you may get a room overlooking the strip. Have fun. Paris would be the better hotel. I actually prefer the casino over at Paris. I believe it has a better atmosphere, especially on nights when there is a live band playing. My wife and I tend to find the Ballys casino uncomfortably warm and smoky. We will, however, occasionally play in the high limit area at Ballys on the machines that reward you with double Total Rewards credits. The rooms at Ballys are slightly larger than the average hotel room, which I consider a big plus.
They have added a number of shops and restaurants between the strip and the front entrance and the giant CVS store in front is a nice convenience. I keep meaning to hit the new Giordano there, maybe next time. One of the big reasons I prefer Ballys to Paris is the location.
We tend to spend most of our time around the Linq area and the surrounding casinos, so staying at Ballys is just one less property to navigate through. Which is why, again with everything being equal, I would prefer Harrahs if you were considering all three properties. The one thing that would rule Harrahs out for me is if you were booking during pool season. I am not a big fan of the smallish Harrahs pool in comparison to the others.
